Katelin Stecz

Katelin understands firsthand the struggles small businesses face. Growing up with parents who ran their own business, she witnessed the challenges they encountered, especially when competing with larger companies.

This experience fueled her passion for supporting small businesses, leading her to establish her own digital marketing company, Write Worx.

Through Write Worx, Katelin has worked closely with small businesses, gaining deep insights into the obstacles they face in the digital landscape—whether it’s navigating social media, mastering Google Ads, or competing on other digital ad platforms. She understands that the barrier to entry for small businesses isn’t just about having an online presence; it’s about reaching their local community and standing out against companies with massive ad budgets and resources. Little Local is her way of leveling the playing field, providing small businesses with the tools and support they need to thrive and connect with their community in today’s fast-paced, convenience-driven world.

When Katelin isn't working on Little Local or running Write Worx, she enjoys freelance writing and can often be found kiteboarding when the wind is right.

Kylie Wang

Kylie is a Coral Gables native with a passion for community and shopping small. Her idea to start Little Local was born out of a desire to support the local businesses she grew up with in the face of growing competition from mainstream retailers. As a child walking the streets of downtown Coral Gables with her family, she was often confounded when her favorite local shops were closed – or, worse, replaced with big-box stores.

Having lived and worked in Coral Gables her whole life, Kylie is one of the city’s most ardent supporters and a huge advocate for shopping locally.

Kylie received her B.S. in journalism from the University of Miami in 2021. Soon after, she began work as the Managing Editor of Coral Gables Magazine. Most recently, she became Editor-in-Chief of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s annual guide to doing business in the Gables, The City Beautiful. She also volunteers on the board of the Young Associates of the Coral Gables Museum and at the Junior League of Miami.

Her work in publishing often includes promoting small businesses within the community. In her free time, you can often find her reading at Books & Books, eating at local restaurants (Khaosan Road, The Collab, and Eating House are personal favorites), and crocheting handmade gifts for friends and family.
